The Xiangyu Salt & Chemical Organization held the Safety Committee meeting for the second quarter of 2025.

In the afternoon of July 28, the Safety Committee for the second quarter of 2025 of Xiangyu Salt & Chemical held its meeting in the company’s conference room on the third floor. The meeting was chaired by Peng Jianqiang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, General Manager, Chief Engineer, and Director of the Safety Committee. Leaders from Wan Company and representatives from all member units attended the meeting.

At the meeting, participants first took a safety oath, watched the “April 23” flash explosion accident warning video from Fuling Pengkai Chemical and the “May 1” fire accident warning video from Wansheng Hongsheng Pharmaceutical Company. Each specialized committee and several business divisions then presented their work performance reports for the second quarter, and the respective leaders in charge made arrangements and deployments for their areas of responsibility.

The meeting pointed out that the company’s overall safety performance in the second quarter was under control. However, the company’s safety production situation remains grim, and the following issues still exist: First, control over unsafe human behaviors needs to be further strengthened; second, hazard identification is incomplete and lacks sufficient depth; third, risk awareness and prevention measures for individual operations during inspection, maintenance, and production processes remain inadequate.

Liu Xingzhong, Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board, and Director of the Safety Committee, emphasized the following points: First, we must strengthen the implementation of the safety production responsibility system. All levels of personnel must fulfill their respective duties conscientiously and undergo rigorous performance assessments. Second, we need to reinforce the implementation of relevant standards, systems, and regulations pertaining to safety management. Any instances of inadequate enforcement that recur repeatedly must be strictly penalized. Third, we must steadily advance safety education and training and significantly increase investment in intrinsic safety measures. Training programs must be targeted and effectively implemented at all levels, ensuring that training is substantive rather than merely superficial. Investment in intrinsic safety must also include stringent quality control measures. Fourth, we must pay close attention to abnormal weather conditions such as high temperatures and the rainy season. We should enhance controls over operational safety, contractor management, and process operations. The responsibility system for major hazard sources must be strictly enforced according to requirements, ensuring that no chemical safety accidents occur. Fifth, we must carry out thorough post-overhaul summaries and effectiveness evaluations.
