Chen Wei, Deputy Secretary of the Group Party Committee, Vice Chairman, and General Manager, led an assessment team to Xiangyu Salt Chemical and the Southwest Regional Branch to carry out performance evaluations.

On January 21, Xiangyu Salt Chemical and the Southwest Regional Branch successfully completed the 2025 annual performance review and accountability assessment of their leadership teams. Chen Wei, Deputy Secretary of the Group Party Committee, Vice Chairman, and General Manager, led an assessment team to the site to conduct the evaluation. Chen Wei, a member of the Party Committee of Xuetian Salt Industry Group Co., Ltd., Secretary of the Board of Directors, and Secretary of the Party Committee of the Xiangnan Branch, presided over the meeting.

At the meeting, Liu Xingzhong, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Xiangyu Salt Chemical, and Zhu Haibin, Secretary of the Party Branch and General Manager of the Southwest Regional Branch, each delivered their 2025 work report on behalf of their respective units.
In 2025, despite an industry downturn and record-low prices, Xiangyu Salt Chemical rose to the challenge, pressed ahead against headwinds, achieved a new record in product output, continued to reduce production consumption, maintained safe and orderly operations, and sustained profitability. The Southwest Regional Branch benchmarked against industry leaders, worked diligently, and successfully met its annual profit targets.
Based on the actual operating conditions of the two organizations, Chen Wei clearly put forward a three-pronged work requirement: “how to view the situation, how to act, and how to provide guarantees.” With regard to “how to view the situation,” it is essential to maintain a clear understanding of the complex industry landscape, conduct scientific overall planning and strategic deployment, and resolutely win the battle for survival. On the question of “how to act,” we must firmly embrace the principles of lean management and extreme cost reduction, mobilize all employees to drive optimization and upgrading across all areas and throughout the entire value chain, and rigorously control key links in production, supply, sales, maintenance, and logistics. As for “how to provide guarantees,” we must take Party building as the fundamental guiding force, earnestly carry out ideological guidance for employees, strengthen efforts to promote integrity and clean governance, and foster a business environment characterized by transparency, fairness, and a strong commitment to ethical conduct.

The assessment team conducted on-site inspections and exchanges at Xiangyu Salt Chemical and the Southwest Regional Branch, comprehensively evaluating the annual operational and management performance of both entities and ensuring precise alignment with the Group’s strategic directives.
During this period, Chen Wei delivered a special briefing on the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, the Central Economic Work Conference, and the Ninth Plenary Session of the 12th Hunan Provincial Party Committee, providing an in-depth interpretation of the core principles underlying the reform and development of state-owned assets and state-owned enterprises in the inaugural year of the 15th Five-Year Plan. He emphasized that Xiangyu Salt Chemical and the Southwest Regional Branch must earnestly align their thinking and actions with the decisions and arrangements made by higher authorities, and strive to write a new chapter in the enterprise’s high-quality development. At the same time, he set forth clear requirements for rectifying the “Four Winds” during the two upcoming holidays, stressing the need to pursue practical work and observe the holidays in a down-to-earth manner, rigorously prevent the “Four Winds,” uphold integrity during the holidays, promote positive conduct, and celebrate the holidays in a civilized way.

Following the briefing and deployment session, Chen Wei and his delegation visited and extended condolences to employees facing difficulties, conveying the Group’s care on their behalf. He emphasized that the two units must firmly uphold a people-centered ethos, meticulously implement measures to safeguard employees’ rights and interests, and ensure that all employees truly share in the fruits of the company’s development.
