The Youth League Committee of Xiangyu Salt & Chemical Industry held a themed Youth League Day activity titled “Youth Hearts Turn to the Party—Now Is the Time for Struggle.”

On May 8, the Youth League Committee of Xiangyu Salt & Chemical Group organized a special themed activity for its young members. A total of 32 people attended, including Luo Cheng, a member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of the company, as well as youth league officials, outstanding Young Communist League members, and youth representatives.

The event kicked off at the Youth Home—the base for the company’s Youth League and Young Pioneers work—where Yu Dongqiu, Secretary of the Youth League Committee, delivered a themed League lesson titled “Study the History of the League, Reflect on Our Original Aspirations, Understand Our Mission, and Dare to Take Responsibility.” Guo Jun, Deputy Secretary of the Youth League Committee, then led the study of documents including “The Spirit of the Central Government’s Eight-Point Regulation and Its Implementation Rules,” “The Provisional Regulations on Disciplinary Actions of the Communist Youth League of China,” and “The Group’s Requirements for Strengthening Learning and Education Among Young Cadres.”

Afterward, the young members of the group visited He Qifang’s former residence. In this quaint old home, guided by the docent and through the exhibits of historical artifacts, they gained a deeper understanding of He Qifang’s journey—from his days of studying and creating to his dedication to the revolutionary cause. At the same time, the young members collectively recited He Qifang’s poem “I Sing for Young Boys and Girls,” experiencing the emotions and strength embedded in his words—the passionate celebration and yearning for a new life and a new world, as well as his profound care and earnest hopes for the younger generation.

After the study session, Luo Cheng encouraged the young members to turn their learning outcomes into motivation for their work and put forward four expectations:
First, we must hold firm to our convictions and build a solid foundation. We should deeply understand the spirit and requirements of the study documents, fasten the first button of our lives correctly, and cultivate a proper worldview, outlook on life, and values. We should integrate our personal growth into the development of the enterprise.
Second, we must study diligently and think critically to hone our skills. We should delve deeply into our respective roles and specialties, cultivating our abilities through practical experience. We should strive to transform theoretical knowledge into practical work skills, stay grounded and committed to frontline work, and aspire to become young salt industry professionals who are technically proficient, daring to innovate, and courageous in tackling tough challenges in the new era.
Third, be courageous and take the lead. Young people should proactively step up in areas such as safe production, cost reduction and efficiency improvement, and technological breakthroughs; actively engage in core tasks, enhance their capabilities, seize opportunities, and leverage their youthful wisdom to solve the challenges facing enterprise development.
Fourth, we must refine our moral character and uphold integrity. We must strictly abide by discipline and rules, carry forward the red heritage, and, inspired by the passion of the young men and women celebrated in Mr. He Qifang’s poetry, write a youthful chapter worthy of our times.
This event has helped young employees solidify their ideological foundations and draw strength from the spirit it embodies. Everyone expressed that they would firmly keep in mind the Party’s instructions, cherish their youthful years, and passionately pursue their aspirations with a spirit of hard work. They pledged to shine brightly in their posts through concrete actions, stepping up to shoulder responsibilities and contributing their youthful energy to the company’s high-quality development.
