Second Public Participation Notice for the Environmental Impact Assessment of Phase I of the Battery-Grade Soda Ash Project of Chongqing Xiangyu Salt & Chemical Co., Ltd.

Hello!
The first-phase project of the battery-grade soda ash project undertaken by Chongqing Xiangyu Salt & Chemical Co., Ltd. is now being publicly disclosed, in accordance with the relevant provisions of the "Environmental Impact Assessment Law of the People's Republic of China" and the "Measures for Public Participation in Environmental Impact Assessment." The draft environmental impact report for this project is hereby made available for public comment as follows:
1. Project Name: Phase I of the Battery-Grade Soda Ash Project of Chongqing Xiangyu Salt & Chemical Co., Ltd.
2. Project Overview:
Chongqing Xiangyu Salt & Chemical Co., Ltd. is constructing a four-story battery-grade soda ash plant on the vacant land previously occupied by the synthetic ammonia production facility. The site covers an area of approximately 1,120 m², with a total construction area of about 4,500 m². Within the plant, a new production unit for battery-grade sodium carbonate will be built, accompanied by supporting facilities such as analytical laboratories and operator control rooms, as well as newly constructed environmental protection systems for treating waste gases. This technological upgrade project will utilize the existing heavy-grade sodium carbonate products as raw materials. Upon completion of the upgrade, the company will have an annual production capacity of 10,000 tons of battery-grade sodium carbonate. After the upgrade, Chongqing Xiangyu Salt & Chemical Co., Ltd.'s overall product output will remain unchanged.
The total investment in the technical upgrade project is 100 million yuan, of which approximately 2.15 million yuan is allocated to environmental protection, accounting for about 2.15%.
