Ammonium chloride
Category: Ammonium chloride
Product Introduction
Ammonium chloride, often abbreviated as ammonium chloride, is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula NH₄Cl. 4 Cl refers to ammonium chloride, which is primarily a byproduct of the alkali production industry. It contains 24% to 26% nitrogen and appears as small, square or octahedral crystals that are either white or slightly yellowish. It comes in two formulations: powdered and granular. Granular ammonium chloride is less hygroscopic and easier to store, whereas powdered ammonium chloride is more commonly used as a base fertilizer for the production of compound fertilizers. It is a physiologically acidic fertilizer. Due to its relatively high chlorine content, it should not be applied to acidic soils or saline-alkaline soils. It is also unsuitable for use as seed fertilizer, nursery fertilizer, or foliar fertilizer, and should not be applied to crops sensitive to chlorine (such as tobacco, potatoes, citrus fruits, tea plants, etc.).
